I’ve got a 2015 Hyundai Sonata with 67,000 miles and probably about 4 or 5 times in the last year I stepped on the brake and nothing happened. I had to absolutely burry the pedal into the floor and yes it did stop but not very well. The brake fluid level is good and has new pads and rotors on all 4 wheels, the dealership said it was in my head but it happened to my sister while she was driving it and are complaints of the same thing on NHTSA.gov so I know there’s an issue but have no clue what it could be. Any advice of what it could be? Thank you for your time.

Make sure it does not have air in the system. Check the brake master cylinder for any leak.
