Hi Scotty,
Just recently purchased an ES350 with 55,000KM on it. Just wondering if the P1604 code is something to worry about...thanks!
Hey Blakeman there could be several reasons why that code is coming up.
1: Check the Fuel you are using, using the correct fuel should make that code go away. Also Fuel Filter could be clogged.
2: Check the Battery if the battery is too low, you will get that code too.
3: If you are driving the car hard in summer and the car didn't had enough time to cool/rest.
My Suggestion, try the top 3 checks and code still comes back. I would take it to good mechanic and have him hook up the computer to take a look at all the codes. Good Luck.
Load test battery and alternator. Also check starter. Autozone does free testing.
Definitely check and see when the last time your battery was changed, the date should be right on it. If it is the original battery you are definitely due for a new one!
Thank you all for the replies...love this new site!...now to get battery checked! 😀
