How to replace the ignition switch

my advice pay a locksmith or mechanic to do it because it requires a specialized tools to get that key assembly out and once you replace it the vehicle has to be reprogrammed or it will not restart due to anti-theft equipment not being synced with the new parts

A locksmith is your best bet on a Mercedes. They are very intricate and it would be MUCH cheaper to go that route vs taking it to a Benz dealer.
