Scotty,
I have my breaks checked and I'm told they look good! The only problem is they don't feel good sometimes... I can't tell if I feel the road surface or the pads and disk are bad, sometimes on a smooth pavement and I apply the brakes it feels rough! I love my Toyota I've had since new but I don't like the breaks, I've only got 85k milage. Are the brakes a lemon for this particular car?
You have left out some important information:

It would not be unusual to need new pads and rotors at 85K miles.
