After driving for 45 minutes and up a mountain, after sitting at a traffic light, when I depressed the gas pedal, nothing happened and the car died. It would not start immediately. It started after 10 minutes rest and I was able to drive 3 miles home. No engine lights or codes.

Your fuel pump may be failing.

@chucktobias I suspect that may be the issue. We had someone look at it yesterday and there apparently was a stored code which points to the Knock Sensor. I didn't hear any knocking, ticking or pinging, so I wonder if that is the issue as I am not sure if a faulty knock sensor or wiring would cause the car to shut down like that and then start back again.
