Scotty,
I have a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox 4-cyl with 85,000 miles. I'm looking to get the automatic transmission fluid changed. I've heard some recommend flushing the transmission, others recommend dropping the pan and replacing the gasket and filter (although my local shop said that would be multiple hours worth of work), and then some others simply recommend draining and refilling the transmission fluid to avoid any debris in the transmission caused by a flush.
Which do you recommend?

Change the fluid and filter, do not flush, every 30-50,000 miles. You wouldn't change your engine oil without changing the filter.
