Engine shudders and jerks

2016 Chevy Malibu Premier 2.0T. 86,000 miles. Car has been beyond well maintained. Has the best of everything you can buy on it. Run nothing but 93 octane gas. Never ran below 1/4 tank. Has new NGK plugs and coils, new K&N air filter, new MAF sensor. Oil changed every 2,000 with full synthetic Castrol and K&N filter. Started getting a random, intermittent jerk a month or so ago. Sometimes you can drive it 20 miles and it won’t do it, sometimes you can drive it 5 miles and it’ll do it 4-5 times. Ruled out transmission issues cause was sitting it stop light and rpm dropped, engine shuddered to the point it almost cut off, but then right back to smooth idle. Sitting at stop light today (couple weeks later) and engine died completely. When it’s not doing the above, it runs like a brand new one. Have noticed a small lack of power or just a hestitation lately. Problem is, no check engine light, no stored codes, history or pending. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

The K&N filter is pretty much crap. (That has been discussed on this board quite a few times.) Did you install OEM parts from a trustworthy source?

You checked for codes, but what about live data? Fuel pressure? Vacuum leaks? Any applicable TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins)? That model has nearly 2000 TSBs listed.

Welcome, new member.

For future reference, the "Title" text box is intended for a short description of your problem, not verbatim with the actual subject of your post. It makes more work for the moderators on this site, and there's a very limited number of characters in titles. If you exceed the limit, the website will not allow you to type anything else. It will also not tell you when the limit has been exceeded. <Title Edited>

Thank you.
