Hi Scotty,.

So I have a 2016 dodge journey 3.6L. and it's milage is at 100,490K, so I was recently driving it and it was showing signs of small misfiring, so I went to my local autozone and bought some upgrades champion spark plugs. After removing the headache that being the top manifold and replacing the spark plugs that were visually worn out, I may have accidentally not placed the ignition coils back to it's original spark plugs, but the electrical connectors were connected correctly, and so after reassembly I started m car and it immediately accelerated and began to  misfire badly and back fire. I turned off the car got it diagnostic checked at auto zone in which it said it was my map sensor so I replaced my map sensor and still it misfires very badly.

So my question remains why does my car misfire, what em I doing wrong??? Any suggestions please and thank you

P.s. I have triple checked all my electrical connections everything from the nuts and bolts have been assembled correctly.

Thank you Scott

Clarification: What code or codes are you currently getting?

I can't remember off the top of my head, but all codes related to low voltage flow, but directly to the map sensor being the reason, timing voltage being to low

Since you say you have low voltage, get your battery + alternator checked.

Then read the misfire page in our FAQ.

Realize taking a chop the manifold off as a giant job and many things could be damaged on an older car like that like wiring vacuum lines and did you even use new gaskets on the job
