Hello, I have a 2016 Ford Fusion with 145,000 miles on it, it won't start and sounds like it struggles to turn over, took it to a local shop and was told the timing chain either jumped time or broke, was curious if the engine is worth fixing, its a 2.0 ecoboost engine, the car is in rough shape so not sure if i should look into to repairing or replacing the engine or just sell it as is to get rid of it, appreciate any input, thank you.
geez. Getting a lot of broken down ecoboost fusions in here.
I'd check the KBB trade in value to see what its worth (not private party/dealer bc those are too inflated)
So, 2016 Ford Fusion 150k miles, mid trim level, fair condition
$2500
Now decide, how much is the cost to fix, and is it worth fixing?
This is typical with these Fusions. Like Joe said, type Fusion and 2010+ models are plagued with major problems its like we see it every day on the forum. Those ecoboost engines are horrible, please don't buy a Ford with that engine again.
