I have an opportunity to purchase a 2016 Ford F150 2.7L around 150,000 miles for a low cost. It was a fleet vehicle for a construction company and has been well maintained. Given as it has exceeded the companies milage limit they are looking to sell it. As I understand, the truck has recently gone through two turbos and a ford tech diagnosed it as a blockage somewhere in the coolant passage to the turbo. None of this scares me as I am able to perform the work myself with the proper manuals, however should I walk away from this truck? I was interested in getting input to see if anyone else has seen this issue.
Thanks in advance for the helpful input
Check the price of replacement turbochargers. I would run away.
The headache is not worth it. There could be even more problems you don't know about. Run away.
