2016 Ford Fusion Cylinder 1 Misfire All The Time

Good Afternoon,

I’ve had my 2016 Fusion for a 1 1/2 years  now, and I keep getting the P0301 code. I’ve had the spark plug changed and coil for cylinder 1. Every few months I’m changing the spark plug in cylinder 1 because it reads a misfire. Once I change the spark plug my car rides fine for a few months until the problem comes back (misfire cylinder 1). I change the spark plug again and the car rides fine again. This is a continuous cycle with the same issue. Can this problem with cylinder 1 be fixed? Will it cost more to fix? I was told just to trade this vehicle in because it’s a defect in certain 2016 Ford Fusions. Please help!!!!

Thank you in advance!

Because you changed the spark plugs and it didn't fix the issue, check the spark plug wiring, coil packs, fuel injectors, cam and/or crank sensors. You might also have a vacuum leak or a leaking head gasket (low compression).

Thank you! I will have it looked this week.

From what you said, it sounds like the injector for that cylinder id not operating properly.  Check it for cleanliness and function or just replace it.

Thank you for your help!
