Hi Scottie, I have a 2016 Kia optima 2.4L engine around 120000kms. Recently we been noticing its been consuming more and more engine oil, we went for an oil change today, it hasn’t even been 5000 kilometer and the mechanic said less than 2 L came out. Have you heard of this issue before, what should be my next steps. Thank you

I'm not sure what that amounts to in real distances but Kia considers oil consumption up to a quart every 1000 miles to be "normal" on their engines.

Try changing out your PCV valve.  See if it helps.  $2.29 at AutoZone.

Sorry I’ll convert the measurements for you guys. 75000 miles on the optima. After about 3000 miles I just did an oil change and the mechanic said less than 2 quarts came out the car.

If the engine holds 5 quarts that means it used about 3 quarts in 3000 miles, roughly. That appears to be within Kia specification, just about.

You didn't say if you were the original owner or if Kias' 10-year/100K mile warranty is applicable in your country. (I assume you're not in the U.S. due to the foreign measurements.) If those are applicable you can request the dealer do an oil consumption test to see if warranty action is indicated.
