Hello everyone,
My 2016 Scion TC shuts off in stop-and-go traffic (city driving). I have changed the spark plugs, coils, and the crankshaft position sensor with OEM parts, but it still happens without any codes. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you!
Start with my video. Make your car run better with a little spray cleaner. Cleaning the throttle and mass sensor off and fixes it. If not, check for vacuum leaks under the hood

Did any of those parts test as bad? Have you checked live data for problems, maybe recorded it when the problem happens for later analysis? Looking for codes is just the bare beginning of the diagnostic process.
@hafid Try the simple stuff recommended by Scotty first, but if that doesn't help you need to dig deeper.
Okay, will do, thank you.
I just wanted to express my gratitude for Scotty's video - following it resolved the issue.
Thanks!
