I have a 2016 Toyota Corolla 142,000 miles with automatic transmission. The check engine light comes on for a short period of time and then goes off for a short period of time. I had it scanned at an autozone and they said it was the evap. canister.
What is the exact code? What is the question?

Please provide the code in question. Usually it’s evap system, large or small leak. People at autozone have no idea what is causing it, they just wanna sell parts. It can be a line, canister or something simple like your gas cap. I had same issue went to buy a gas cap(which fixed my issue BTW) and the guy at autozone was arguing with me that it wasn’t my cap that I needed an evap canister. I have never seen an item specific evap code.
