Recently our 2016 Yukon XL had a couple of failed lifters and ultimately we had to get a new 5.3 Engine.
So far the engine is running fine, but the braking system feels a little off now. Would there be a connection to the new engine and a braking system being off? Could air have gotten into the brake system?
Well replacing an engine is a gigantic job and all kinds of stuff could have been done. He might have had to take some of the brake lines off to fit things in and put them in. There might be air in the system. Bear it. Also check to make sure that the vacuum line that runs the brake booster has not been damaged or bent or that the check valve wasn't damaged that operates the booster
