Hi Scotty, I have a 2017 Honda Accord LX with a CVT Transmission. I experience a vibration while idling at a traffic light regardless the ac, heat, or defrost is on or off. I took it to a Honda dealer and my dad and I took a ride with a mechanic from the dealership. We felt a slight vibration. The mechanic at Honda said that it’s normal to feel the slight vibration while idling at a traffic light is normal in drive. However, I am not convinced that is normal. Do your customers with the same exact car as me have the same problem? Thanks!
Shouldn’t have bought the cvt unfortunately. I have a friend with a 2016 cvt accord, same problem. He shifts it into neutral at a red light and it’s completely stops vibrating. Honda didn’t do something right but it doesn’t appear to be a “problem” per say as it hasn’t caused anything to break. But I don’t think the cvt’s will last as long as the regular 6 speed automatic and definitely not as long as the 6 speed manuals.
