The code indicates cylinder 4 is misfiring and from what I read, Ford has a problem that they didn't recall on this engine with the coolant leaking into the cylinder. Mine has 98000 miles and just started to have the check engine light come on and the symptom's of misfiring starting in the engine. I plan on replacing the spark plugs and Ignition Coil this week, but how long before these symptom's occur again, and should I be looking to sell the car and get another one?

@imperator I did have to add more coolant to the reservoir, and once I replaced the spark plug and the coil, the error code did clear itself up. However, my wife said she wouldn't feel comfortable driving the vehicle for longer distances, so since it was almost 10 years old, we decided to replace it and ended up with a new 2026 Nautilus Hybrid. really liking it so far.

Your head gasket is on its way out. My wife has a 2017 2.3L EcoBoost Mustang whose head gasket went, and she had the exact problem you're having, only hers was P0301. Coolant leaks into the engine, and the engine never overheated. Her car lasted for 147k miles, but her problems started around 145k miles. Once symptoms start, it goes quick.
She bought a Subaru WRX and the Mustang is basically a gigantic lawn ornament now. Ford dropped the ball with those EcoBoost 4-cylinder engines, and Ford won't own up to their mistake.
