Scotty,
Your videos helped me so much when choosing a truck. Thank you.
Purchased a 2017 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 SR5, Double Cab, 5' bed, Automatic with 40k miles last month.
Had an independent mechanic take a look at before pulling the trigger and everything was in great shape. The only thing he recommended was to replace the shocks soon because he noticed the ride was a little bouncy.
The previous owner added a leveling kit (spacer) on the front but did not upgrade the shocks or control arms.
I live out in the Big Bend region of Far West Texas, Presidio if you're familiar, I don't plan on doing a lot of serious off roading but the ride has been a little rougher than expected when driving on the many dirt roads out here and when hitting pot holes.
He recommended Bilstein 5100 shocks which sound great but I wanted to know if there were other suspension upgrades you would recommend to improve the handling and ride quality overall.
Thanks a lot!

I've been to presidio I been around. Nice drinking country.I would go build things I mean you could upgrade the suspension with heavier duty or springs if you wanted to go that far not cheap though
