2017 Toyota Camry 58,000 miles ran out of gas car would not start afterwards. Fuel pump works injectors work replace spark plugs could get the car idle when I step on the gas car shut off. Scan the vehicle it only shows code for sensors 102 and 113. The battery died. I was able to get the car to start put it in drive with the brake on and it ran for 10 minutes and then stopped. No, the car starts and then shuts off
ran out of gas car would not start afterwardsLoad test the battery and alternator, rule any problems out there first and foremost.
Low fuel can ruin a pump. So check the fuel pump pressure. Here's the symptoms/causesfor your 2 codes: https://www.obd-codes.com/p0102 https://www.obd-codes.com/p0113
MAF and IAT are on the intake side and you can inspect them individually via a scan tool or using a multi meter. Wouldn't be surprised if these are all related
@hixster thank you
Hopefully you didn't attempt to start that car so many times after it ran out of gas that the battery died. Modern cars have electric fuel pumps, and they're lubricated by the gas that they pump. If you tried to start the car with no gas to the point where the battery died, that fuel pump is very likely toast. It's not an old, carbureted car like my '79 Pontiac, where the fuel pump is activated by the car's camshaft. That car is much easier to get to than your Toyota; it took me 20 minutes to change it because it's directly on the engine. Yours is hidden inside the gas tank.
