Hello Scotty! Fellow Tennessean here! Love your videos. We are looking for another vehicle since our Kia engine seized (Kia is paying for a new engine) yes we have learned our lesson. We are looking at a 2016-2018 Acura RDX or 2019 Toyota Highlander. To my understanding on research is the Acura has a learning transmission that has to be reset every couple of months or starts to shift rough but other than that have not found much on issues. On the 2015-2019 Toyota Highlander generation is that they can go through rotors due to the weight and can throw oil which can be viewed from behind the front passenger wheel when turned in and water pumps can go out but once the repairs have been done there usually is not any problems but can cost 2-4k. I have seen in videos that you have stated that Honda quality has been going down and wanted to know if that holds true to their Acura line for the year I am looking at? Also is there other known issues with either that would help in our decision making. Thank you so much so for any suggestions.
