So, I recently took my 2018 TLX for a recall regarding the rods aging prematurely and causing damage to the crankshaft, I got my car back about 3 weeks later and the engine stalled while driving, I had it towed back, and they said that the technician did not tighten the belts which caused the engine to stall. They said there was no compression, drive belt was broken and went into crank pulley, timing was off, and the valves were damaged. In the paperwork there is so many parts that were installed and I don't know what half of them mean. I am worried about the condition of the car and how it will drive in the future, a lot of work was done that was due to their mistakes granted they have not charged me a dime. On top of that, I received my car yesterday and the A/C was not working, I took it back today and I'm waiting to see what they tell me. I do not intend to pay for this to be fixed but they said the A/C being out has nothing to do with the recall, my A/C worked perfectly fine before this. thank you for your time.
Sure, sounds like a bunch of idiots worked on it. You take the engine apart. You got to disconnect the AC. They obviously screwed up all kinds of stuff. They basically destroyed your engine. They should just give you a new engine and fix everything. But then again, that's how crappy those dealerships are. Realize the mechanic doing that warranty work doesn't get paid. Hardly anything
