So the dealership has replaced the vacuum cylinder for 4x4 engagement on both front wheels. But the left has come back. It’s occasional but 11 times in 60min drive last weekend from what I think is the all-wheel/4x4 trying to engage. Lasts just a few seconds each time. And can go weeks without further occurrence. Dealer has pulled the front off the engine for another try at a fix. Don’t know what they did. I’m thinking it’s a bad vacuum but dealer won’t try that again saying don’t want to throw more parts at it. In warranty for just a few more months.
Any suggestion? Thanks.
My advice it's under warranty make a video of the noise and take it back and say fix the stupid thing or buy the car back. There are laws and things are under warranty they have to fix them free and with the video you can't argue and keep a paper trail because of time runs out you can say hey they never fix the noise
