Shudder when taking off under light acceleration

Scottie, I've got a 2018 Highlander XLE, V6 AWD .  At low RPM's, if I very lightly tap on gas such as accelerating from a light, stop sign, or up a hill, in the lower RPM's the engine shudders as if it were a manual transmission car which you put into a higher gear, while going too slow (think starting in second vs first)

What could it be? Am I not giving it enough gas (which is possible as I'm trying to drive conservatively) Other suggestions?

The vehicle has 32k miles

Any codes?

nope no codes, but I also am not sure I understand my little device. Bought one Scottie recommended. No codes though but it's been a while I should check again

Should be fixed under warranty

true. It also could be the fuel pump, apparently those were an issue in this engine. I'm having my mechanic look at it tomorrow morning. After that, if it is fuel pump I'll bring to Toyota since I am def still covered under warranty by Toyota. Also, Friday I'm checking out a 2010 Xterra with 80k miles. Seems like a solid vehicle and only about $12k. Manual transmission too 🙂 Worth the downgrade? Or is it an upgrade?

8 years older, 50k miles more Nissan ... downgrade

@stojo78 : hello there, have you ever figured what was the cause of this?

@Tonytony2020 It's a 4yr old question, and he is not a regular here so you probably won't get an answer this way. You're better off posting your own question and including all your vehicle and troubleshooting details.

How many miles?  Have you ever changed your transmission fluid per your owner's manual maintenance section, cleaned the MAF sensor, put in a new air filter?

The vehicle has 32k miles, filter yes, fluid no, and MAF sensor no, haven't done that

I have the same symptoms and search everywhere.
You have the best explanation describing this issue.
