- Hello so my Honda has a total mileage of 8,324 miles (5,000 interstate miles) I’m the only owner but anyways let’s get to the point, my vehicle will start without the clutch being pressed in, the shifter can row through the gears all except 5th with the car on and off without the use of the clutch. The car does not “kill” or stall when you release the clutch in any gear. The whole unit has been inspected I replaced the shift cables, I’ve even bought after market shifter system to hope that’d fix the problem I’ve switched the transmission fluid I did notice a little bit coming out the drain bolt but it was just from the fluid change. So the shop said anyways. I have an act clutch kit to install just not sure if that’s the issue with the pandemic right now I’d rather resale it if it’s possible. My warranty is voided because I’ve gone far into the after market and tunes ect. I did notice a burning smell after a drive then the next day the car slipped like an automatic does and now has never accelerated since the dash doesn’t show the gear it’s in but the engine will rev like normal idk what to do
Assuming you have no engine light, if I were you, I would take it to a trustworthy mechanic and ask them to fully check it (live data) and do some bidirectional tests. you mentioned you modified it so words are that the modifications are acting up.

Modifications were mostly exterior mods, supporting mods or suspension nothing done to the clutch/transmission connection and we’ve done everything from adjust the clutch pedal to replace the bushings connected to the trans bracket. The tune did add power but in the idea of moving the torque curve to the right so there is less stress initially on the stock system

Also cars not mobile right now and I’m trying to avoid the dealership with this problem but shops near me are very I knowledgeable about the new model. Dealership hasn’t voided my warranty I’m just guessing they will. I’m okay with paying for the clutch to be installed but I want to make sure that will be what solves the issue so I’m not getting the run around the cars paid off in full so I don’t know if that helps with my extended warranty from the dealership or if I’m still screwed thank you for the reply
