Hello, I have a 2018 RAV4 that I bought new and it now has 103,000 miles and all maintenance is done at the dealership on time. It's almost all highway miles, and I am a conservative driver. When I take off from a stop accelerating slowly it shifts up and in the next gear it will be 1500 rpm and feels like it shudders a bit; is this from the rpm being so low? When I step on it a little harder it does not do this and when I use the 'sport' mode on the transmission it doesn't do this either. This has started in the last 20,000 miles or so. When the dealership puts a scan tool on it does it show the transmission programming? I have not asked the dealership about this yet.
Thanks in advance and thank you for all the good advice Scotty!
They will often do that with that mileage I wouldn't particularly worry about it especially since it doesn't do it in sport mode but you might check with Toyota to see if they have any computer reprogramming whichcan make it stop doing that
