I purchased my 2019 F150 from Enterprise Rent-A-Car resale office in 2020. It is 2WD with 113k miles and has the V8 engine and 10 speed automatic transmission. I noticed the other day that it made a strange intermittent grinding noise when I was going 67 through 68 miles an hour. The noise disappears after that and it does not make any noise from 0 to 67. I immediately pulled over and looked under the vehicle to see if something had gotten stuck on the undercarriage, but everything was clear. I’m guessing it has something to do with the transmission but wanted to get y’all’s opinion before bringing it to my mechanic whom I trust. Thanks again!

Ford has really struggled with that 10-speed transmission, so that is definitely a possibility. Could also be a wheel bearing (let’s hope), though I think that’s less likely.
