Scotty,
I'm considering buying a 2019 Honda CRV with a 2.4 liter Earth Dreams GDI engine mated with a CVT. The car is an automatic with 25K miles, private party-one owner, no accidents and no apparent problems. Does this engine have a oil dilution problem or will it develop one? Will the intake valves eventually require cleaning from carbon deposits? What's your opinion on the reliability of this vehicle?

I would not buy any vehicle with GDI or a CVT and especially with the combination of the two. The technology just has not been thoroughly refined to the point where I would have confidence in these systems, similar to AFM.
