Hi Scotty,
Ive got a 2019 GMC Sierra that has a check engine light come on almost every time I wash it. Have taken it to the dealer 3 times and it just did it again. Of corse it is just out of warranty now. This time and the last the, after scanning it it is saying it is a knock sensor and it was changed the last time they looked at it.

Look for places where water is getting under the hood. What are the actual codes? Moving forward for this or any other kind of out-of-warranty maintenance or repair stay away from the dealer and find a good independent mechanic.
