Definitely a transmission issue. Those Aisin AWF8F35 transmissions Volkswagen has been using in their 2019s have been causing issues for everyone. I would sell the car right now and buy a different one while there are no major issues with it yet. Volkswagen's quality has been going downhill lately, and would stay away from them for right now.

GET RID OF IT THOSE 2019+ TIGUANS ARE CAUSING EVERYONE PROBLEMS THEY MANAGED TO MAKE A TOYOTA TRANSMISSION MAD IT IS DEFINETLY A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AND THE ENGINE IS BASIC PLASTIC WITH A RUBBER TIMING BELT. Just sell it.

If you want a volkswagen the tiguans are junk and expensive and so are the jetta's and touregs. I would consider the new electric car they came out with.
