Hi Scotty,
I'm think about buying a brand new Mazda 3 Automatic Preferred Trim level.
it has the SKYACTIV®-G 2.5 DOHC 4-cylinder with VVT with no Turbo and front wheel drive 186 HP.
Is it good buy or not? do they make reliable engines and transmissions? will it last me about 10 to 15 years?
thank you for your advise
Sadly the Skyactiv tech hasn't been around enough to know if it's reliable for that long, but recently they've been great.
@zacknac
Skyactiv has been around since 2012. Check out Consumer Reports, very good reliability record for the engine and 6 speed auto combination. Toyota's latest TNGA platform, engine, and transmission have been out for less than 4 years. Search for 'toyota 8 speed transmission issues' to find out about the class action lawsuits that has generated!
Yeah definitely. I'm glad Mazda's turned around from the Ford days. Just saying it hasn't been 15 years lol
