Thank you for taking the time to read through this long thread.
The current issue that I am having with my Audi is a suspension-related issue. It started once I got the car about a year ago, and issue would persist about once a month until fairly recently when the intervals between each occurrence would happen more frequently.
Issue persists when driving straight, on a smooth road (as well as bumpy). Additionally, every time I get into the car, the noise would persist (thus making me think that this is a suspension issue). I weigh about 140, so I'm not too heavy. Issue persists when turning whether that's driving and turning the wheel or just at a dead stop, parked, and turning my wheel, the sound persists.
Sounds is like a popping noise ~ please see video
Opps, I forgot to add this:
I took it to a dealer, and they took a look at it. They said that it was the strut mount bolts ~ they said to remedy this, this had to tighten the bolts back to factory specs but the issue still persists. I'm going to take it to the dealership again but they seem to be taking forever in terms of narrowing down what the issue might be
Have you taken it to the dealer? I would imagine it is still under warranty. I'd start there.
Shouldn't be happening to a 2020 Audi. Could be a number of things. Bring it in to dealer should still be under warranty and don't settle for it normal or they can't duplicate, you have video evidence if needed.
If your dealer pretends to be clueless, use this method to pinpoint the source of the noise & then revisit the dealer for a permanent fix -
