2020 Ford Escape 1.5

Good afternoon Scotty, 

I’m changing the oil on my wife’s new 2020 Ford Escape 1.5L Ecoboost and just hit 5000 miles (Ford says it can go 7500 to 10000 miles, not doing that at all) and I noticed that the oil filter (part number on the filter H6BG-6714-BA) which nearly half the size of the filters that’s recommended from RockAuto which is double the size in length (part #FL-910-S). Is safe to use the recommended filter from RockAuto?

I think they just put mini filters on at the factory

Thank you!! So I have the correct ones. Just wasn’t sure. First time I have ever seen a filter that small on a vehicle in all the years changing oil.
