Hi Scotty. More of an observation than a repair question. I’ve got a 2020 Ford Explorer St - fun car and yes over priced. I live in Michigan about 20 miles from Ford HQ. just had our first real snow and I see that ice has built up at the ends of the dual exhaust pipes. As the exhaust runs down the tail pipes and at about a foot from the end, theres a cut out for the exhaust to drop down and out. Rather than exhaust all the way out the end of the pipes. As a result of that cut out snow and ice builds up in that final fake exhaust system. Great engineering. Give those pipes about three years before they rust out from Michigan winters. Picture added.
American vehicle manufacturing has just nose dived straight off a cliff onto concrete. BUT the average American would rather have all the bells and whistles than a vehicle make it into the 300k mi mark so 🤷♂️.
Just a sign of our times all form and no function. American politics on both sides is exactly the same
I can’t believe what I’m seeing! That’s factory!?
If they’re stainless steel or aluminum, they’ll last.
