Hi Scotty, how are you? So I have a 2020 Kia Sorento, the other night went to get gas l, drove five minutes up the road and the check engine light came on. Went to Autozone the next day to have it diagnostically tested, and the P0741 code popped up. I found out that code usually means a huge problem. Drove the car back home. Then went out later on, and the check engine light was gone. What should I do in this situation? Thank you.
Did you look up the possible causes for that code? While it usually means a serious transmission problem it can also be caused by low or dirty transmission fluid, or an electrical problem.

You'd need to have a transmission expert analyze it with a professional-grade scan tool to see what's really going on. Being a 2020 model if you're the original owner it should still be under warranty.
The car is driving fine otherwise, is there a way for me to check the transmission fluid on a 2020 Kia from home?
If there is no dipstick there would be a factory procedure for checking the fluid from underneath the vehicle.
What would you do in my situation?
If it's still under warranty have the dealer diagnose it.
