My 2020 Mazda CX-5, touring AWD automatic transmission is currently at 75,000 miles and I want to get the transmission fluid changed. Being that it is a Skyactive engine the transmission is supposedly sealed and has “lifetime” fluid, so my dealership won’t do it. Should I pursue having an independent shop do it or should I just take Mazda on their word. I plan on keeping this car for a long time so want to prolong the life of the transmission as long as possible.

Find a shop willing to do it.
