I just purchased a 2020 Toyota Highlander Limited V6 with 118,000 miles, I’ve been concerned with the amount of people I’ve seen on message boards saying they’ve needed to have a Transmission replacement on the 8 speed automatic under 100k miles on the 2020 and 2021 Highlanders. Should I be concerned? Do these transmissions have problems?

The time to research a vehicle's inherent problems is before purchase, not after. (Did you at least have a good mechanic evaluate that vehicle before purchase? Be that as it may, any transmission will ultimately have problems if it is not serviced properly.
What "message boards" are you seeing these reports on? A quick internet search does not list transmission failure as being particularly common.

@chucktobias I did have a mechanic check the car over and said it was it great condition for the mileage. Dealership did not let me take it to my mechanic but luckily he was able to come to the dealership and use their bay since he was a block away (never heard of a dealership not letting you take a car somewhere for inspection)
Car did have transmission flush at 52k miles and again at 101k miles. Most the complaints come from Reddit which I know is not a good source.
Power flushing a transmission is not a good idea. For future maintenance a simple drain and refill or fluid exchange is far preferable.
Maybe you're thinking of the 3rd generation Highlander?
