Hi everyone, I just bought a new 2021 Corolla hatch and started hearing noises from the front end.... I was told it was the strut and mount and they need to be replaced on a car with 950 miles. Should I be extremely concerned or just concerned that maybe I bought a lemon? Haha any advice would help.
Depends on your roads. Detroit potholes are known to reach up and bit off entire axles.
@carlos
I’m in SoCal and have babied this new car like a hypebeast trying not to crease a pair of jordans 😂 I hope you got that reference and laughed a bit but yeah I haven’t driven it rough at all.
Lol. You're in a better place, at least when it comes to potholes.
Did the noise go away after they replaced the mount & strut?
If it didn’t, take it back in & get them to fix it until you hear pin drop silence.
I doubt a bad strut & mount is enough for a car to be labelled a lemon.

They haven’t replaced it yet, they said they have ordered the parts and gave me a loaner until it is fixed, thankfully! But awesome thank you for the answer. I was honestly quite bummed that my new car has issues but I will make sure it rides as quiet like it was SUPPOSED to when it was new 😂

Good luck to you, i have a similar issue with my Murano, after four attempts the dealer finally stated a front end clunk is normal operation (it obviously isnt).. when it didnt happen for the first 19K miles. They also replaced a strut, mount, and bearing....still there. i am working on a lemon law claim now... hopefully yours is fixed the first couple times.. i would look up lemon law in cali just so you have some ammo in case the car is at the dealer longer than it should be.
Should be under warranty. Things do happen so let Toyota foot the bill to fix it.
