[Solved] 2021 Ford F150 Warranty Issues

Scotty,

Fellow Western New York expatriate / YouTuber now living in Phoenix.

I have a 2021 F-150 on order since 3/17/21, it has been produced since 4/27/21 with a delivery ETA of 10/31/21. My concern is that Ford Warranty has very specific verbiage about how to maintain a vehicle in storage which theoretically could void a warranty if not followed appropriately. My truck has now sat in storage for nearly 80 days presumably un-maintaned awaiting microchips. It is horrifying as a consumer to see such a large corporation writing language in an owners manual for storing a vehicle over 30 days that “May lead to engine failure” then seeing photos of trucks parked bumper to bumper door to door making it obvious they aren't moving these things around to "keep everything moving" while trucks like mine are parked for several months on end.

I went through exhaustive presentation of the warranty concerns in a YouTube video (link below) and have attached my a screen shot of my order to show the dates. https://youtu.be/EDeq4vnCLXU

Thanks,

PS. To anyone who just says "Cancel the order you dope"... I get it but Ford won't just destroy that truck, they will just sell it to someone else so it still remains a consumer advocacy issue.

I feel bad to say this because I’m American but American car manufacturers are all about profits and they have lawyers behind them. They surely could cut down on production and make sure every vehicle that came out of the line was completed. GM is doing the same thing. But, they want profits so they take in as much money as they can and tell you to wait. You don’t see Toyota or Honda do that.

Ford doesn’t have customer service anymore. They rely on the multigenerational families and people who have bought the blue oval since the beginning. And it’s working because plenty of people buy their vehicles still. Also, this is what happens when you rely on the cheapest outside company to manufacture critical electronic components and other stuff. Henry Ford was a few things but one positive I’ll say is he was big on keeping everything in house. The Ford family has all but trampled his name in the ground with letting this crap happen.

Just Ford being Ford. I wouldn't buy lemonade from them at this point.
