I have heard concerns regarding the new v6 8 speed transmission.Will this be a big problem in the long run. Any idea if Toyota is planning to fix this issue?

Toyota did make some updates to the transmission- however that transmission hasn't been out that long; about 5 years. I would normally say wait and see what happens but at this rate- buy it at your own risk.
