Scotty , like your program ! Have a 2021 Mazda 3 automatic w/ just over 40, 000 km purchased new from dealership .Bought a 2021 instead of 2022 because 22's had too much safety crap that couldn't be shut off .Had an issues w/ a sensor ( thermostat ) that had to be repaired @ 30 K kilometers .Indicator light in dash .Then had this happen ( 3 times ) when vehicle wouldn't start . Foot on brake , couldn't depress pedal at all , engine refused to start . Taken to dealer fob batteries replaced and new sensor installed ( under warranty ) problem gone . Then same issue today reappeared yesterday.
Veh starting N/S . Pushed on Fob door lock & unlock and car worked ( bad words used ) Misses had veh today . Same orginal issue .Brake pedal locked up when foot on brake before attempt to start . Fob within car and close by . No start . Wait approx 15 min , attempt again , car starts .
Car driven approx 10 km and stopped for several min . Exact same starting issue . Wait 15 min , car starts now at dealership for them to assess .
Any ideas ? Vehicle haunted ? 🙂 Had 2007 Carolla manual w/ 380 K that always started regardless of season . Was I wrong to buy a Mazda ? Thanks for any insight
Well unfortunately cars are so complex these days. The starting of the car involves computer modules relays all kinds of stuff. Realize that when you try to start the car it just sends a 5 volt reference signal to computers. It is so freaking complex. It would make your head spin. But it's 2021 if you still be under warranty
