Good morning automotive guru's. As always, I thank you for your time and help in advance.
In general, how reliable is the 2021 Sequoia (motor/transmission)? Additionally, why in the world do they cost as much as a small home?

Yeah, I noticed the cheapest one has similar price as the most expensive 4runner. Probably because it is better built.

It’s still too early to tell. Wait 4-5yrs and let it prove it’s reliability.
At the moment, all you have is prior track record, to go by.
They are too rich for my blood, but some friends and I were chatting about Sequoia reliability. As always thank you all for your help.
