Hello, I need some advice please. I have a 21 Highlander that I bought back in December 2024, so not had it long. Noticed a whining noise and took to two different mechanics and as I'm sure you know there is an issue with the transmission. Car has 72k miles. I called Toyota and was pretty much told there is nothing they can do to help since my VIN# did not have the TSB or any kind of issue listed. I understand that the TSB may not be under my specific VIN but I'm literally having the exact issue that Toyota released a SB on and is confirmed by two different mechanics. I don't think taking it to Toyota service center will help since they are dead set on the TSB not being listed on my VIN.
Please help
Here's the TSB for those vehicles The powertrain warranty stopped at 60K miles.I have a 21 Highlander AND Car has 72k miles
The Toyota Powertrain Warranty is 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
You're 12K miles over the warranty. Toyota isn't going to pay for fixing the transmission..
