Hey Scotty, I recently bought a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4, 3.5 liter V6, 6 speed automatic, with approximately 16,500 original miles on it. After watching your video I am wondering if I made a mistake. I don't hear any rattles (yet), but my understanding is that all Tacomas are now produced in Mexico. I confirmed that mine is. Supposedly it has a lifetime power train warranty. How worried should I be?
My 2015 Tacoma was built in Mexico and after 115k miles I am "board to tears" with just changing fluids. Nothing gives me a problem.
You're ok. Keep up with the maintenance and it'll last you a long time regardless of where it's made as they still have to adhere to Toyota's strict quality standards.
Toyota has been making their cars at various locations and what matters is that regardless of the location it is Toyota quality so nothing to be concerned about.
