Have you heard about this crazy recall about the fuel injectors? According to the recall the fuel injectors crack and then leak fuel so their "fix" is to run a drain plate for the fuel to leak down the motor on to the ground instead of on the motor and a light to say you have a fuel leak! Ok so isnt.it a bad idea to be allowing the fuel to leak anywhere period and also they don't plan on replacing the fuel injector According to the recall letter Safety recall notice 22s73 nhtsa recall 22v859
That is exactly why I may never buy a Ford again. They've been making them for 40 years, it should be straightforward. Somebody had their hand in the cookie jar, and, rather than admit they made a mistake, they're basically putting it on someone else. It should be common sense at this point to build fuel injectors. The bean counters apparently have too much rule. There's nothing quite like driving and praying your fuel injectors don't basically explode and shoot highly flammable gasoline everywhere. When I'm spending $30,000 on a car, the least they could do is make me not burn to a crisp just driving the thing around. I wouldn't take it if you gave it to me for free. Ford has REALLY gone downhill.
