Hey everyone I'm new here! I need people's opinion is this 2022 Mazda3 2.5 Turbo worth buying? I've heard Mazda climbed to the top for realilbility. I wanna know will this car last it will be babied oil changes every 5k miles. Could I expect 180-200k miles? Thank you everyone for reading this.
Well there has not been any issues with the engine so far. Realize a turbo will not last as long as a naturally aspired engine. I would stay away from a turbo
Thanks for reading this jpparisio, if I were to decide to get the turbo could I achieve 170k-200k miles with proper care ?
There are a lot of variables so it's hard to say. I can tell you as the owner of a turbocharged vehicle that my daily driver has a 2.3 turbo engine with over 360,000 miles and it still runs fine and uses little oil. So it is certainly possible for a turbocharged engine to last but if the Mazda engine is a recent design there is not enough experience with it to say for sure.
I feel like you should be able to, but I can't confirm as the recent design of this engine Naturally aspirated can go 200 to 250 thousand. I heard some have gotten to 300 thousand. So.I would feel confident to get 170 to 200 thousand.
I appreciate it guys I feel like if I take good care of her I should easily be able to achieve 180k miles with the proper care because I hear Mazdas are on the top of realibile now I appreciate you guys comments! How's there warranty
Probably nearly worthless.
I would not put too much stock in what you "heard" about Mazda reliability or any other car for that matter. Like my grandfather told me, "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. " The reliability and longevity of your vehicle will depend upon its engineering and how it was built, but taking responsibility for ahead of schedule maintenance, and particular attention to keeping all the fluids and lubrication fresh will go a long way to that 300K plus mile goal. I, personally, would not own and ICE with a turbo charger. Not worth the grief.
I appreciate it man yeah it's a tuff desion right now because this Mazda said I will pay sticker which is awesome. an I tried going to get a Honda civic but they marking them up in my area 5-6 grand... So I'm not getting a Honda civic being marked up that much.. I like the look of the Mazda3 turbo but I'm just unsure how realibile they are I've done some research and saw there hasn't been any known issues with Mazda 2.5T
I can appreciate your position. It's just that I want a vehicle with less to go wrong than more. Start/stop, AFM, VVT, key fobs, back up cameras, TPM, turbos, etc. are all stuff I just don't want. But like I said, if you get it and take care of it responsibly, there's no reason it can't last a good long time. Good luck. Remember in the good old days when paying MSRP was what nobody did? I guess there is no bargaining anymore.
I appreciate it man yeah I'm hoping this Mazda don't have the start and stop I hate it hopefully it has a off switch yeah man these dealerships are crazy with there price tags haha I appreciate you taking the time an giving me your opinion
