Hey Scotty! In the market for a new truck, these two are actually comparable in price. Obviously Toyota needs to sort out their issues with the new turbo v6, and chevy is not known for quality except in their 2500hd platform. just looking for some advice.

You’re really choosing the lesser of two evils here. In my opinion go with the Chevrolet because with that car you can get a naturally aspirated v8 gas whereas with Toyota you can’t. But then again Chevrolet is known for massive quality control failures too. If i were you I would purchase a used Toyota with the V8 (those things last forever) but have a mechanic check it out before purchase
