So I went ahead and bought a 2022 SR5 V6 2 Wheel Dr., Toyota Tacoma. Right now it is sitting at the dealership and I am waiting to see what is wrong with it. It has just under 4000 miles on it. The other night the check engine light came on and as I was driving home. Every time I hit the brake traction control light kept on coming on. And also I got this warning on the dash.
A malfunction in the electronic control of the
engine, throttle, or automatic transmission has
been detected.
The dealership has told me it might be the camshaft or something else I’m currently waiting on them to let me know something. What do you think? Do you think I could have possibly done something to mess up the camshaft?
What do you think?
I think there are about a hundred different things that would cause that warning.
Do you think I could have possibly done something to mess up the camshaft?
Such as?
Well don’t know if you remember me but I’m the one with the 22’ SR5 V6 Tacoma that the cam shaft gears ( VVT ) stuff messed up. In the beginning they thought it was cam shaft. Well now with 8,719 miles the rear main oil seal seems to be messing because because it’s leaking. They discovered it when I took it in for regular scheduled maintenance. I’m really loosing trust in Toyota.
