Do you think it would make sense if cars were built with a 2nd odometer that measures how many times the engine has been started?

I wouldn't want to pay for it.
I would like an hours of operation meter, like found on boats, generators, etc. 50K miles of highway wear doesn't equal 50K of city driving wear - the city engine has run twice as many hours as the highway engine.
Newer GM's have an engine hour counter in the Driver Information Centre (DIC). My 2013 GMC Savana does.
