Hi Scotty, I have a 2020 Toyota 4runner and brought it to my local dealership for 30K mileage service maintenance. They added some additional services: Intake decarbonize and fuel system service, 4x4 differential service, and air conditioner/heater service. Total cost for my visit was $1,832.54 wherein the $1,271.18 was all labor cost. Just wondering if they ripped me off because I posted this to social media group and everyone is saying I got ripped off.
Yes it was a very very big ripoff too. Which is why you should never take your car to the dealership unless it is for warranty related work.

Big time. They took you to the cleaners.
Sorry you got fleeced

About as likely as the Pope being Catholic. Ditch the dealer and stay away from chain shops like Pep Boys, Firestone, Midas, etc. Find a good local mechanic.

Yes. You got ripped off. That’s why they call dealerships, stealerships.
Anything beyond what is written in your owners manual for maintenance is most likely a scam. There may* be additional items from the dealer that are legitimate. But this is an extremely rare case from personal experience.
When going to the dealer. ALWAYS, expect an upsell of unnecessary services. And you can always say no to that upsell.
