How do I use 3M Silicone Paste

Dear Scotty,

A while ago I bought some 3M Silicone Paste online for working on my 1998 Toyota RAV4 2WD 4D vehicle's brake systems. My question is: what brake parts exactly is this paste made for? Is it for the back of the brake pads, or where the pads come into contact with the caliper, or for the slide pins?

Can anyone suggest their favorite "High-Temperature Brake Grease" in this post? Looking on Rock Auto, I don't see any brake grease that actually states "High-Temp."

Edit: Permatex 20354 Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant does state, "High-Temp."

It took approximately 10 seconds to find what 3M has to say about it:

https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40070802/

"Brakes: caliper guide pins, outer caliper seals, outer wheel cylinder seals"

Do not use the stuff anywhere that it will come into contact with brake fluid (internal hydraulic parts).
